Dr. Dobee is a nationally recognized expert in AI, dental innovation, and emerging technologies shaping the future of oral healthcare. With over 22 years of experience, she bridges the gap between high-tech solutions and real-world clinical success. As a Key Opinion Leader and advisor to companies like Colgate, Dr. Dobee advances caries detection, CBCT diagnostics, and patient-centered technologies. She also shares her expertise through global dental conferences, red carpet events, and health-focused programs. Beyond innovation, Dr. Dobee is deeply committed to leadership development, team building, and practice growth. She holds a Master’s degree in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), which she integrates into her coaching and speaking to elevate communication and patient experience. Stephenie Goddard, CEO of Glidewell Dental, leads one of the world’s largest dental laboratories and producers of dental technology, continuing education programs, and restorative materials. With nearly 30 years of leadership experience, she has been instrumental in driving Glidewell’s expansion, business development, and customer experience worldwide. Stephenie joined Glidewell in 2006 as Vice President of Human Resources and has held progressive leadership roles, including Executive Vice President of Business Development and Chief Experience Officer, before becoming CEO. Dr. Philip Kang is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and a Professor in the Division of Periodontics at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, where he also served as Program Director of Postgraduate Periodontics. He previously held a faculty appointment at the University of Pennsylvania as a Clinical Assistant Professor. He earned his DDS from the University of Michigan, followed by advanced training in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) at Harvard University and a certificate in Periodontics from the University of Pennsylvania. In addition to his academic role, Dr. Kang maintains a full-time clinical practice with a focus on dental implants and laser-assisted therapies. He has developed extensive expertise in multiple laser wavelengths, including Er,Cr:YSGG, Er:YAG, Nd:YAG, CO₂, and diode lasers. His research on laser applications and implant-related therapies has been widely published in peer-reviewed journals, and he lectures internationally on advanced surgical and prosthetic techniques in periodontology and implant dentistry.

Dr. Setareh Lavasani is a highly sought-after keynote speaker and globally recognized authority in oral and maxillofacial radiology and advanced imaging. A Board-Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Radiologist, she is a Tenured Full Professor and Director of Oral Radiology & Advanced Imaging at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA and holds a Certificate in "AI in Dentistry" from Harvard School of Dental Medicine. She is the founder of the "Lavasani Diagnostic Institute" (www.lavasanidx.com), through which she has spent more than two decades bridging academia and clinical dentistry via continuing education and CBCT consultations empowering clinicians to strengthen diagnostic accuracy and master CBCT interpretation. Dr. Lavasani’s leadership extends across organized dentistry as the 2026 President of the Tri-County Dental Society, a delegate to the California Dental Association House of Delegates, and a member of the Society’s Board of Directors. Balazs Feher, DMD, PhD

Balazs Feher is an Assistant Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Harvard University. The Feher Lab conducts research at the intersection of applied artificial intelligence and clinical decision making. Feher serves as an invited contributor to the ITU/WHO/WIPO Global Initiative on Artificial Intelligence for Health, as well as Chair of the European Association for Osseointegration’s Junior Committee. Feher earned his DMD and PhD from the Medical University of Vienna, where he trained as a postgraduate assistant in oral surgery and later habilitated, earning the venia docendi in dental medicine. He subsequently completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard before joining the Faculty of Medicine.

Mike Yang, PhD, is the CEO and Co-founder of LuxCreo. Mike is a serial entrepreneur with a career spanning across corporate strategy, global operations, and hardtech commercialization. Before LuxCreo, he was the Managing Director and Board Member at Bloom Energy, the CFO of Danoo, and a consultant at McKinsey & Co. Mike is a technologist at heart. When and where is the Bay Area Dental Expo taking place?

The Bay Area Dental Expo is scheduled for Friday, August 21, 2026 and Saturday, August 22, 2026 at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA.

What can I expect at the Expo?

The Expo is a pioneering event focusing on dental innovation and the future of the dental profession. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with dental professionals from Northern California, attend more than 15 in-person presentations across two stages, engage in lively networking, and gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies and materials.

The content is carefully curated to showcase emerging technologies such as digital imagery, 3D printing, machine learning, AI-assisted diagnostics and design, and more.

The Bay Area Dental Expo is produced by the Santa Clara County Dental Society in collaboration with the California Dental Association and a coalition of Bay Area Dental Societies including Contra Costa County Dental Society, Fresno-Madera District Dental Society, Marin County Dental Society, Monterey Bay Dental Society, Mid-Peninsula Dental Society, San Francisco Dental Society, San Mateo County Dental Society, and Southern Alameda County Dental Society.

Will CE credits be awarded for attending the Bay Area Dental Expo?

All of our main stage speaker presentations will provide CE credits based on the length of the presentation.

Dentists and their teams will be able to obtain CE credit for these presentations.

How will continuing education credits be issued?

Continuing education credits will be issued by the Santa Clara County Dental Society. More information will be provided soon.

Am I guaranteed a seat for the speaker/presentation I am interested in?

Seats in the theater(s) for each presentation are offered on a first-come, first-served basis and are not guaranteed. The main stage accommodates 650 seats. Stage 2 accommodates 150 seats.

Can I reserve or save seats for presentations?

Seats can not be reserved or saved. Once an attendee leaves a seat, that seat will become available.

Is parking available at the convention center?

Yes, parking at the Santa Clara Convention Center is free for Expo attendees.

Where is the nearest hotel?
